I read People on my phone often, and after using it a bunch, I’ve noticed the same pattern: most days it works just fine, but the ads can pile up a bit. The stories usually load without much trouble, and once I get past the occasional ad-heavy stretch, it’s easy enough to scroll around and catch up.

I canceled my People subscription and it was painless. I had to click around a little before I found the right spot, but once I got there it went through fine. I do wish they made it easier to find, kind of like when other sites just have the option right there, but...

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the emails. The updates are relevant and helpful without feeling like too much or cluttering up my inbox.

Not perfect, but overall I had a decent experience.
